Fosters Needed in Los Angeles ASAP!
Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is in need of fosters to continue saving dogs from high kill shelters! We really have a couple of urgent needs for senior dogs who need a little extra TLC from their fosters!
Lovey and Brodie are two very sweet dogs who are in need of a new place to safely stay ASAP.
Lovey is a senior American bulldog mix. She absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be by her person's side at all times. She uses a harness to help her back legs, but this hardly stops her as she loves being outside and going on walks with her people! Lovey is definitely the type of pooch to stop and smell the roses. She would do best in a home with a foster who works from home or is retired since she truly can never get enough of being with her person! She is house-trained and knows to use the bathroom outdoors. Lovey is best suited as the only dog in the home so she can share all of her love with her foster!
Brodie is a senior Dogo Argentino mix. He is the absolute sweetest dog you'll ever meet! Despite suffering a horrific attack that made him lose the use of his back legs a few months ago, he is still so loving and adores people. Brodie loves going out for walks or riding in his wagon. He also loves to cuddle and hang out with his person right on the couch. Brodie would do best in a home with someone who works from home or is retired so he can continue to get all of the care he needs from his foster. He is friendly with other dogs and even cats!

We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in ... we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of "Ace", a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds...and don't discriminate against any!

We need Standby Volunteers daily!
Emergency Volunteers/Stand By's
This may seem like the least helpful, but actually our stand-by's always save us & the dogs! We need you!
You give us the days and times you are available and we add you to a list. Then, if something comes up that day- you will be the first one we call. This helps us reach out to volunteers with availability that day instead of calling our entire volunteer list. If there is a day, half a day, or even a few hours you can volunteer to be placed on a "call in case of an emergency" list, let us know! This can be for many different tasks, and almost
always requires some driving. We try very hard to plan things in advance, but if there is a last minute opportunity to save a life, get a dog adopted, or a foster emergency, it helps to have a handful of people we reach out to first!
We are in desperate need of standby volunteers!

-Transporters (taking dogs to appointments/park/foster)
