ORGANIZATION: Marion Polk Food Share

Marion Polk Food Share's Home Delivery Program provides nutritious groceries to our neighbors who are unable to access food at a local pantry. This is a great way to ensure our neighbors have access to delicious and nutritious food!

Important details about this opportunity:

  • Volunteers typically deliver twice per month to 3-5 households in Salem and Keizer. Alternative schedules (e.g. deliveries every week) are also available.
  • Deliveries take place every Tuesday.
  • Total time volunteering each shift will last between 1 and 2 hours.
  • Volunteers will use their own vehicles, must be fully insured, and have a current driver's license.
  • Volunteers must pass a background check before they begin delivering.

Description

Every month, more than 46,000 people - including 15,000 children - will access emergency food through the Marion Polk Food Share partner network. This food may be a hot meal served at a shelter, a free community meal served at a church, or an emergency food box from a food pantry. This nutritious food will help children and adults learn, work, and thrive.
