Together Estranged is the nation's first nonprofit organization to provide support services to those estranged from family members.

Estrangement is a common experience - yet it isn't discussed often because of stigma. According to one U.S. study, 40% of participants had experienced estrangement from a family member - and many of these people are adult children who are struggling with isolation, lack of social support and mental health concerns. Estrangement (loss of relationship with a family member) can occur for many "reasons", including: abuse, neglect, lack of acceptance for LGBTQ+ community, dislike of someone's partner, religious beliefs, major political differences, personality clashes, situations, and more.

Together Estranged (TE) is currently looking for a Volunteer who can assist with the Operations of our nonprofit.

This position is an unpaid volunteer position.

Skills we're looking for:

• Organization and writing skills
• Professional communication and strategic planning
• Energetic and ability to multi-task
• Comfortable sending emails, messages on Facebook/Instagram, assisting with volunteer recruitment efforts

Tasks:

• Post volunteer job postings on places like Indeed
• Set up phone calls and email potential volunteers
• Correspond with interested people through Facebook and Instagram

Time requirements:

This volunteer opportunity requires about 1-2 hours a week.

We'd love to find someone who'd be willing to maintain an ongoing relationship with us, but we are open to working with you and your schedule/time frame.
