Join Our Cause: Seeking Executive Director for Together Estranged Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals estranged from their family members? Together Estranged, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is on a mission to provide support, empowerment, and advocacy for those navigating the complex journey of estrangement. We're seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization to new heights and drive positive change in our community. About Together Estranged: At Together Estranged, we believe that everyone deserves understanding, support, and acceptance, regardless of their family dynamics. Our organization is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals navigating estrangement, offering resources, guidance, and a supportive community to help them heal and thrive. We are the first in the nation to focus solely on family estrangement. Right now, our focus has been on adult children but we are hoping to eventually expand services to support families and parents who are estranged as well. Role Overview: As the Executive Director of Together Estranged, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations, and advancing our mission and vision. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact by shaping the direction of our organization and championing the needs of those affected by estrangement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plans to further the mission and goals of Together Estranged, including program development, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach. Lead and inspire a dedicated team of volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community organizations, to enhance our impact and visibility. Ensure the effective management of organizational resources, including budgeting, financial planning, and grant administration. Find opportunities to continue building TE's website and technology. Advocate for the destigmatization of estrangement and promote social understanding and acceptance through education, awareness campaigns, and public engagement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, with a track record of strategic planning, organizational management, and team development. Strong understanding of issues related to family dynamics, mental health, and social justice, with a commitment to inclusivity and equity. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling vision, engage diverse stakeholders, and build consensus. Boston-based as this is where we are headquartered. Ability to work remotely and also connect with organizations/people in the Boston area to help grow the nonprofit's roots. Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations, with a demonstrated ability to secure funding and support for nonprofit initiatives.
