The Salvation Army Oakland Chinatown, Virtual Tutoring Program
Starting in March 2020, the pandemic has forced students into remote learning. Students who are able to go back to in-person schooling have still fallen behind. And since not every family is able to afford tutoring for their children, the Salvation Army will continue to provide FREE 1:1 virtual English and Math tutoring for low-income students who are struggling academically.
Program info:
Time: Monday- Friday 4:30pm-6pm (California, PDT)
Tutoring Math & English Students, Grade 2nd -11th
Volunteer Tutor’s Qualifications:
-Age: 9th Grade & Above
-Report card submission with the application process
Minimum time commitment: 1.5 hours per week
