Can we count on you help us fight against the educational inequity that is disproportionately affecting our K-12 students from low-income backgrounds?
BrightPath is looking for volunteers to virtually tutor K-12 students from low-income backgrounds during Fall of 2021. From early September up until Thanksgiving , tutors will meet virtually and one-on-one with a K-12 student on a recurring basis. As a trained volunteer, you have the opportunity to serve as a role model and help a student make real academic gains in a time of need in our education system - right from your home!
BrightPath Tutors is a student-led 501(c)(3) originally founded on Vanderbilt’s campus with the mission of closing K-12 achievement gaps, that were widened due to the pandemic, through effective tutoring. They are looking to build upon their current tutor base of ~500 committed tutors, and they could use your help!
If you’re interested in joining the movement and serving as a volunteer tutor for this program, you can sign up at http://brightpath.tutorfly.org/apply.
