Mission Statement

BrightPath Tutors is a nonprofit founded by two Vanderbilt University Class of 2020 graduates, Brad and Sam, in the Spring of 2020. Our mission is to close the education gap by providing free, high-impact, virtual tutoring, to benefit students from low-income backgrounds. In creating this movement of college volunteers, we are working to lessen the divide, one student at a time.

Description

BrightPath is looking for highly qualified college students to step up in the fight against educational inequity by volunteering to virtually tutor K-12 students from low-income backgrounds in Tennessee during the 2021 Fall Semester. From September up until Thanksgiving Break, tutors will meet virtually and one-on-one with a K-12 student on a recurring basis. As a trained volunteer, you have the opportunity to serve as a role model, help a student make real academic gains, and take on a leadership role on your campus or in your community - right from your dorm room! If you’re interested in joining the movement and serving as a volunteer tutor for this program, you can sign up at http://brightpath.tutorfly.org/apply.
