Sharktoberfest
Sherman seeks Sharktober Volunteers!

Shark Stewards is seeking an organized coordinator to help with planning, organizing volunteers and coordinate our annual Sharktioberfest benefit party.
We are hosting our annual event aboard the vessel Empress with a art benefit and Golden Gate cruise and we would love to have your help! The walk/run helps raise money towards youth education and conservation efforts to protect sharks from overfishing and keep the ocean healthy

We offer virtual participation as well, and can work by zoom to help us develop resources, seek donations and sponsors for the event, and help getting volunteers assigned and coordinated in advace.

All proceeds go to support our online youth ocean education program to keep the oceans and kids healthy!

Fun Run organized by the SoCal Chapter of Shark Stewards, a nonprofit of Earth Island Institute, Founder, David McGuire, lobbies against the shark fin trade, for marine protected areas, & teaches about sharks for healthy ocean ecosystems.

Shark Stewards is a non profit dedicate to restoring ocean health by saving sharks and protecting marine habitat. Our event supports healthy oceans through education and policy. It is our responsibility to keep the ocean clean, healthy, and preserve it for generations to come.

At home we are helping rstore habitat in the San Francisco Bay, and keeping the Bay clean through our beach clean ups in the National Parks waterfront in San Francisco.

Based in San Francisco, Shark Stewards is a project of The Earth Island Institute, an environmentalist think tank founded by David Brower and a 501c3 non-profit.
