KnowAVet? is an IRS-approved (82-1566302), FREE service to veterans and their families, designed to Attract, Inform and Connect those who volunteered to risk their lives to protect ours, to the help they have Earned for their best possible life after service.
www.KnowAVet.org is dedicated to alleviating the devastation soldiers and their families suffer when they return from deployment.
Our WordPress site help veterans learn of 80+ issues they and their families may be suffering from and how to access help through government and/or community resources in every zip code. Plus, if they need personal help, we are there for them.
Know A Vet? relies on our IT systems to power the solutions that help Veterans, and their Families connect to resources. We are seeking an experienced WordPress Web Designer who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. In this role, you will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of WordPress and related plugins.
Office 365 Administrator Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant web design coding languages
- Create and test applications for websites
- Present design specs
- Work with graphics and other designers
- Troubleshoot website problems
- Maintain and update websites
- Monitor website traffic
- Stay up-to-date on technology
IT Manager Requirements:
- 1-year of experience working with WordPress.
- Experience working with all levels of a team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
- Veterans and Family members preferred.

Description
KAV helps vets and their families via our:
- Physical and online outreach;
- Website - with 90+ issues and hundreds of videos, along with links to literally thousands of local resources to help veterans;
- "KnowAVet News", has well researched articles on topics to better the lives of Post 911 vets and their families, as well as Senior Vets and Surviving Spouses;
- KAV provides personal help via email, social media and phone, through our live, "Champions" for anyone who asks for help.
