Work with IRCO's Community Development team to develop a Disability Justice series to elevate, inform, and empower communitymembers with disabilities.
Volunteer Position: 3-5 Volunteers needed to curate and advise on promotion for trainings and
workshops in partnership with the IRCO Community Development team. Volunteers in this role
will help advise on series content, promotions, and communicate recommendations to IRCO
staff and community partners. This will be a remote position, possibility for in-person to
accommodate volunteer needs.
There will be a total of two, 1 hour meetings with volunteer cohort. Food will be provided.
Volunteer Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates who identify as
o Black, Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, or person of color,
o Having a disability, or an advocate (in work or personal relations) to someone
with a disability.
Volunteer Position Duration: 4 hours of curation and advising for promotion, and option to
attend the trainings/workshops as wanted/possible (1.5-2 hour per session). This project is
planned to end by May 2022, but the bulk of work will be in the first 2 months.
