Help FareStart get food to students as they complete their job training virtually! Due to COVID, FareStart has pivoted all job training programs to a virtual setting and needs the help of volunteers to continue to provide food to students while they navigate our program.

Delivery Driving shifts take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2PM-3:30PM. Shift start time is flexible and can be updated to any time between 10am-2pm if that works better for the volunteer. Volunteers will pickup meals in Seattle and follow pre-determined routes to get meals out to students.

Drivers must be 18 and older and have their own cars. Standard cars work perfectly as meal boxes generally fit in a regular sized trunk and/or back seats of cars.

Once you sign up with this opportunity, FareStart will contact you directly with next steps and get you registered for routes.

Description

WHO WE ARE

FareStart has been helping people transform their lives through food for 30 years - one person, one job and one community at a time.

People experiencing poverty struggle to escape the cycle they are in and often face other compounding barriers to getting and keeping a job. At FareStart, we help people overcome barriers by teaching work and life skills needed to succeed in employment and in life. By investing in people, providing meals and building community, we transform homelessness, hunger and poverty into human potential.
