Mission Statement
FareStart provides a community that successfully empowers men, women, and families to create new opportunities through food service training, life skills training, and job placement. FareStart is a non-profit, 501-C3 organization.
Description
FareStart is a job training and placement program for homeless and disadvantaged men and women. We provide a 16 week program that includes hands on training, life skills training and job placement and readiness assistance. FareStart has been helping to transform lives for 15 years in Seattle. More than 50% of revenue is self-generated through the businesses of weekday lunch, catering, contract meal service, a cafe, and Thursday evening Guest Chef Night.
