Are you passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education or STEM careers? Would you like to help K-12 students develop achievable dreams for fabulous future careers? If you also have a sense of humor, a sense of wonder, and little time to give each month, then Edheads is the place for you! Edheads is a 501c3 non-profit organization that ties K-12 classroom curricula to real world challenges and careers by providing free games and career content to teachers, students and parents. We are looking for a few people that know a lot of other people that are STEM professionals. We are developing three new types of content that are not game-based, but do require a little help from STEM professionals. We are looking for people that can help contact and recruit these STEM professionals to volunteer a little of their time. We are asking 3-5 hours a month from the STEM Networking Specialists, and you would be asking 20 minutes to 4 hours of time from the STEM professionals you contact. You could contact others via email, phone or social media, therefore this time can be spent whenever you have it - after hours, lunch time, days off, etc. We will regularly share the types of professionals we are looking for, but also have plenty of opportunity for you to suggest professionals (and professions!) to move our mission forward in ways we haven't even thought of yet!

By capturing student imaginations and igniting career aspirations, Edheads empowers students to pursue fulfilling, productive careers in science, technology, engineering and math. We tie school to work by reinforcing basic skills and demonstrating how they are applied in STEM careers. On Edheads' site, students can be surgeons, manufacturing technicians, find simple machines, predict the weather, create a stem cell line and more!
