Incarcerated youth of color can no longer be released just to go back into the system. This only serves to increase the recidivism rate. Take Trips Mentally, Emotionally, & Spiritually (TTMES) is here to remove the barriers that prevent this population from seeking positive outcomes.
TTMES is searching for an intern/volunteer for our Social Media Specialist position. Our non-profit organization is seeking a Social Media Manager to keep all our social media platforms up to date. The chosen candidate should possess the ability to ensure clear and cohesive messaging across all platforms. We are seeking a volunteer with good written and verbal skills and who is a team player. They will need to work closely with our Data Management Team to ensure we are creating meaningful posts and reach out to other organizations who strive for similar goals to work with. Lastly, they must have a passion for our cause and making a difference for the community we serve.

Description
TTMES stands for "Take Trips Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually."
As the recidivism rate among youth continues to rise, we must ask ourselves, "how do we deal with negative starts that don't steer us to positive travels?"
When youth of color are released from incarceration or detention centers, they often lack adequate support systems, care, and guidance. TTMES is here to remove the many barriers that prevent positive outcomes. We aim to empower youth of color and provide the tools necessary to heal from the damage of the incarceration system. We are committed to healing the hurt and providing the foundation that they need to succeed.
