The CHASI Community Food Pantry provides free and nutritious food to the Staten Island community. Volunteers will learn about nonprofit operations, community engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
* Attend a training before starting the project
* Collect information form clients through phone calls
* Correctly record and document survey information into database
* Track survey completion
* Organize and present data in clear, concise manner
The above is intended to describe the essential position functions, the general supplemental functions, and the essential requirements for the performance of the position. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of all the position functions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
* A high degree of professionalism and the ability to follow instructions
* Comfortable communicating clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
* Must be able to volunteer for a 4-hour period of time
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skill is a strong plus
Commitment: Volunteer a minimum of 4hrs/week for 6 weeks

Tuesday - 10am-2pm
Wednesday - 12noon-4pm

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
