Come join our Lighthouse Hospice Volunteer Team!
Lighthouse Hospice's volunteers are provided the preparation and training they need to comfortably and successfully complete their chosen assignments. Some volunteers receive additional training based on their selected area of service. Lighthouse Hospice serves patients in and around the area of Cherry Hill, NJ.

Lighthouse Hospice provides professional care with a personal touch. We accomplish this by focusing on both the patient and their family. We will treat the disease process with medical expertise while emphasizing quality living, not only physically, but also psychosocially, emotionally and spiritually. Comfort, compassion and calming presence are the gifts we bring to this service, and we are honored to walk with the patient and loved ones through this special time.
We are looking for volunteers who are certified in pet therapy! Animals have proven to provide benefits to Hospice patients, including lowering blood pressure, reducing physical pain, and increasing their comfort and quality of life. If you are in the process, or have already completed a pet therapy program, we would love to bring you on as a compassionate, pet therapy volunteer!
COVID-19
To ensure the safety of you, the patients and the family members, we require volunteers to be trained in yearly mandatory in-service on infection control/universal precautions/bloodborne pathogens/COVID-19.

Description
Lighthouse Hospice provides care to adults during the final stages of life. Each patient has an experienced team of physicians, registered nurses, home health aides, medical social workers, counselors, and trained volunteers available to help them and their family manage their care. We provide Hospice Care wherever you call "home". We serve patients in homes, nursing facilities, assisted and independent living facilities, and hospitals across southern New Jersey.
We are looking for caring individuals to volunteer their time with our Hospice patients. Patient volunteers provide comfort to patients and their families through companionship, socialization and support. Providing respite care and support for the patient and family is one of the most personal ways a volunteer can become involved with Lighthouse. The volunteer serves as a friend, visiting the patient where he or she lives. We are also seeking Administrative Volunteers to help in our office with mailings, answering the phone and other administrative duties.

- Orientation or Training
- Ongoing--commitment is dependent on the volunteer's schedule.
- Must have an up-to-date DL, Auto Insurance, and two-step PPD. If you do not have a recent PPD record, we can schedule an appointment for you at Concentra Urgent Care in Cherry Hill, NJ.
