Lighthouse Hospice provides care to all age groups during the final stages of life. Each patient has an experienced team of physicians, registered nurses, home health aides, medical social workers, counselors, and trained volunteers available to help them and their family manage the illness. We provide Hospice Care wherever you call "home". We serve patients in homes, nursing facilities, assisted and independent living facilities, and hospitals across southern New Jersey. We are looking for caring individuals to volunteer their time with our Hospice patients. Patient volunteers provide comfort to patients and their families through companionship, socialization and support. Providing respite care and support for the patient and family is one of the most personal ways a volunteer can become involved with Lighthouse. The volunteer serves as a friend, visiting the patient where he or she lives. We are also seeking Administrative Volunteers to help in our office with mailings, answering the phone and other administrative duties.
