Be a Good Samaritan

In Jesus' parable, the Good Samaritan took a man in distress to an inn to get the help he needed after others had passed by.

Here’s a one-of-a-kind way to be a Good Samaritan in today’s world.

The person you know or find in distress might be a victim of violence, as in the parable, or be in a shelter, or homeless, in recovery, a re-entrant, a veteran, be un- or underemployed, be seeking a career change, want to change their life, or seek to advance as a disciple.

You get the rescue started. The "inn" you use can be the Actions to Change-You-Life .

The help they receive will depend on the need. The Course is personalized for each participant.

They do not have to be Christian. The course is free.

Jesus was answering the question "And who is my neighbor?" after giving His Greatest Commandment with its second part to "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Here are several ways, from minimal to increasing levels of commitment, you can "take" someone in need to the Actions to Change Your Life.

  1. Email contact information for a person in need to worknlearninc@gmail.com and we’ll follow up.
  2. Learn about the Actions at www.worknlearn.us.
  3. Describe the Actions and their benefits to the person.
  4. Show or send them the Know-How to Change-Your-Life Course Workbook.
  5. Follow the Actions with the "neighbor" to be a friend, or Christian mentor or to serve as a career coach.

Your role is essential. Get a person in need to take the Actions.

The Actions and ministry enable him or her to experience the power of Jesus to transform their life.
