Community volunteers are needed to make weekly safety check-in calls to isolated senior citizens. Volunteers can arrange their own schedule to make calls from their home and are provided names and a script to complete each call. This is an extremely valuable service. The COVID pandemic has made many seniors feel even more isolated and a weekly call allows to them to express their concerns and feelings while giving them the assurance that they are not alone and that the community is truly concerned for their well-being. A short period of time in making calls can make a world of difference in the life of a senior. And you can make some great friendships along the way! Great opportunity for those living in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York County, James City County, and Williamsburg, VA to connect to area seniors from your own home.
