ProduceGood has exciting news...we are launching a NEW pilot program!

You will be helping us divert food from landfills to feed those in need by sorting through and rescuing fresh produce that cannot be sold at Jimbo's in Escondido.
Prior to the volunteer's arrival, Jimbo's staff will set aside fruits and vegetables unfit for sale (partially damaged, cosmetic issues, "ugly", etc.). Volunteers will sort edible produce from produce that will be sent to compost. Volunteers will then transport the rescued bounty (~200 pounds) to a local feeding agency.

REQUIREMENTS:
-18 years or older
-Ability to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
-Willing to use personal car for transporting produce.
-Willing to commit to ongoing volunteering, 1-2 shifts per month.
-Passion for creating equitable food systems and creating a healthier environment!
