French/English interpreter needed for non-profit

VOLUNTEER INTERPRETER FRENCH/ENGLISH NEEDED

A Child for All ("ACFA") is a U.S. non-profit organization with current operations in the city of Bamako in Mali, West Africa. ACFA provides a safe and loving environment for vulnerable children who are living on the streets or who are orphaned. These children are welcomed into the home that our founder grew up in and they receive the nourishment, education, health care and attention necessary to thrive Having been a vulnerable child in Mali herself, ACFA’s founder possess a unique understanding of how to alleviate the dislocation and hopelessness that these children experience and ACFA provides the foundation for these children to grow and become empowered to achieve the futures they deserve.

We have eleven older children (ages 14-18 years old) who have been with ACFA for over ten (10) years. They live in the house where our founder grew up and are in private school and participate and excel in sports including fencing, basketball and tae kwan do.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:

Interpreting Services Needed this summer

We have several volunteers in the US who will be teaching our older children mathematics and also computer coding this summer via Zoom. As the children speak French, we need interpreters for each session. The sessions will mostly be on the weekends and will be one hour for each session. The volunteers will have PowerPoints that we hope will be translated into French already.

Requirements *
Proven work experience as an Interpreter or similar role * Fluency French (written and spoken)
