The Neurosurgery and Vascular Departments are looking for Volunteers to assist with putting together educational materials for their patients in order to address perioperative education. Prospective Volunteers will be able to follow directions and work independently.

Duties could include making copies, addressing envelopes, retrieving printed items from Medical Media in the basement, obtaining pamphlets from the Medical Library, organizing and assembling materials and bringing completed packets to the mailroom.

Shifts will be split between the Neurosurgery and Vascular Departments. Current openings are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm.

With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.
