ORGANIZATION: Newington Green Alliance

Newington Green Alliance builds strong community across differences. We are seeking volunteer community organisers to work directly with one or more of the local ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Community organiser volunteers find out about the needs of the community and the various groups within it, build connections between groups, and help people and groups to find resources that will benefit them.

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Language Skills, Managing People, Organising & Planning, Research

You need to have good people skills including listening and communication skills. You need to be able to connect easily with a wide variety of people You should be aware of the kinds of struggles that people in London may face. You must be sensitive to and aware of cultural differences.

NGA became a UK registered charity (1190473) in July 2020. We are an all-volunteer organisation with over 100 volunteers and a wide range or projects geared toward building connection and relationship across all the many differences in the Newington Green area of London.
