Want to volunteer in the Lakewood area? Help others as they near the end of their lives by spending time with a hospice patient. Create a special space for them-- read, review their life story with them, tell bad dad jokes, write a letter to a loved one for them, help them label old photographs, or just provide a comforting presence. As a Hospice Volunteer you are specially trained to support the patient and family in a variety of ways. You must pass a drug screen, background check, TB test, and complete orientation at your own pace.

Description
We are a local hospice that supports patients and their families in the Denver area and Castle Rock communities. Our volunteers provide companionship visits, playing or listening to music the patient enjoys, reading to the patient, writing letters for patients, doing life review, providing Veteran-to-Veteran visits, Veteran pinning ceremonies, bad dad jokes, Reiki, Legacy Projects, etc., etc. Have a talent you'd like to share with a hospice patient?
