We are looking for someone like you who loves to read and can share some time and talent with a patient. You get specialized hospice training from our staff and get to make someone's life a little better-- their life and your life. Do you speak another language and interested in volunteerism? We have patients who speak languages other than English and would love to have volunteer companionship in their native language. Our patients often speak Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese among many other languages. Help these patients as they near the end of their lives by spending time them, create a special space for them, read to them, review their life history with them, tell bad dad jokes: Where do you go to learn to make desserts? Sundae school. Write a letter to a loved one for them, help them label old photographs, or just provide a comforting presence by being there. As a Hospice Volunteer you are specially trained to support the patient and family in a variety of ways.
