The Volunteer Transportation program utilizes volunteer drivers to provide free transportation to adults over 60 years old for medical appointments, essential errands such as grocery shopping, socialization opportunities, and community wellness programs. Drivers must be at least 18 years old with a current Nevada driver’s license, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle. It’s a flexible volunteer opportunity in that you can choose your schedule each week - you can sign up to provide several rides, just a couple, or none if you don’t have time that week for volunteering. This program offers volunteers the opportunity meet new people and make a difference in their lives.
There are guidelines in place to help protect both the volunteers and clients during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the providing of PPE.
