The Opportunity: Having a clear and strong brand identity is key for entrepreneurs to increase their sales and digital presence. But many of them, especially those who just started their business, don’t always know how to develop a brand identity for their business. That’s where you come in! Our virtual brand identity bootcamp is the perfect opportunity if you are looking to volunteer your time and talent to support small businesses and the innovators behind them.

  • Are you a good fit? You have at least 3 years of professional experience in marketing and branding, and are comfortable teaching this topic to a group of entrepreneurs (via Zoom).
  • What will you be doing? During this virtual bootcamp, you will connect live with a group of entrepreneurs and provide hands-on training or in-depth guidance on how to develop a brand identity for their business (colors, fonts, brand voice, etc.).
  • What is the time commitment? Typically 2-4 hours (1-2 hours of preparation and 1-2 hours of live session).
  • Do you provide resources? We provide resources to get you started and prepare for the bootcamp. We also coordinate all logistics leading up to the session.

Ready to use your skills for good? Join our passionate community of volunteers by completing your volunteer application here: https://www.startsmallthinkbig.org/volunteer. We welcome multilingual volunteers, particularly those able to support Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs. Please note: In order to volunteer, you must reside in the United States or in a country with overlapping time zones.

Mission Statement

Start Small Think Big is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion in entrepreneurship by connecting small businesses with the resources and community they need to thrive. - We stand for access and opportunity and get behind the belief that with a skilled partner, entrepreneurs and their businesses can thrive personally and professionally. - We create powerful connections with entrepreneurs and legal, financial, and marketing experts that provide assistance while building meaningful collaborations.

Description

We focus on partnering with BIPOC entrepreneurs, women, LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, immigrants, veterans, entrepreneurs with disabilities, low-income entrepreneurs, and formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs. We help identify entrepreneurs’ areas of need and provide them with free technical assistance across the finance, marketing and legal areas. We do this by connecting them with our community of corporate partners and skills-based volunteers - so small businesses have the network and resources they need to grow on their own terms.
