SF City Impact's Holiday Outreaches are a time for families, volunteer, and church members to come together and serve the Tenderloin residents. During one of these outreaches, you can choose between handing out food to the homeless, delivering meals to the apartment buildings, and hosting a Kids Party for the children of the Tenderloin.

2023 Holiday Outreach Dates:

  • October 21st
  • November 11th
  • November 23rd
  • December 16th
  • December 25th
Meal Prep: Come help us with meal prep for all of the to-go meals that we will be handing out on the street and in the surrounding apartment buildings!

Meal Delivery: This outreach will consist of volunteers carrying grocery boxes to the surrounding apartment buildings and either handing them out door to door or dropping them in the lobby for the residents to enjoy! (Only volunteers 16 and older are allowed to participate.)

Hospitality Hub: Help serve meals with friends at our Hospitality Hub and ensure they feel loved this season.

Mission Statement

San Francisco City Impact’s mission is to intervene on behalf of the people of the Tenderloin which we do by serving the immediate needs of the community in these areas: Poverty, Hunger, Inner-City Children, and Community Outreach.

Description

Serving over 100,000 people annually, City Impact has provided relief programs for the Tenderloin District since 1984 - including feeding, health care, and social services. Our founder started serving the Tenderloin in response to seeing a young boy being bullied in this neighborhood. What was initially a Saturday youth program has grown into what is now City Impact. We serve as a lifeline for this community where there are very high rates of homelessness, food insecurity, poverty, addiction, and mental health issues.

We are a Christian organization that works with volunteers of many religious backgrounds and we believe that one person can make all the difference in the life of a person in need.
