ORGANIZATION: Heart of Compassion Distribution



Quick Overview: Do you have experience in daily operations administration? Do you have free time? Do you want to make a difference in your local community?

Heart of Compassion is continuously Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope and we need a capable operations admin volunteer to join our team!

Impact: In the midst of the current economic crisis, more families in our local community are needing extra assistance. There is a tremendous need for groceries and other essentials, but mostly for hope. Join us in fighting the war on hunger by being a full-time daily operations administrator volunteer.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: We need a volunteer to manage daily operations, procurement, scheduling, purchasing, weekly public distributions, office operations, and inventory control.

Volunteer hours:

Monday-Friday 8am-3pm

Requirements: The volunteer in this position must be at least 18 years old and have experience in business operations, specifically experience in managing daily operations, procurement, scheduling, purchasing, weekly public distributions, office operations, and inventory control. Volunteer must also be willing to work at our office in-person.

Description

Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope. We currently provide loads of groceries for about 600 families weekly at our public food distributions.

Mondays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to bag produce
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8-11a.m.: volunteers needed to register recipients
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to load groceries into shopping carts and recipient vehicles
