ORGANIZATION: Your Future Is Our Business

Diamond Technology Institute is an educational charter school located in Watsonville, CA that is committed to providing a center for engaged learning. They are currently seeking mentors for their 10th and 11th-grade high school students.

DTI’s mentoring programs provide opportunities for adults to make a visible difference in the lives of students - to share their interests and hard-won wisdom. Mentors empower young people by helping them identify, plan, and achieve their goals. Mentors also provide valuable knowledge and aid students in making professional connections and finding opportunities.

DTI students are matched with a mentor during their sophomore and junior years from September 2022 through May 2023. The program consists of monthly meetings and a variety of interesting activities and events throughout the year to help students build personally and professionally. DTI provides mentors and students with all necessary materials such as training handbooks, schedules, instructions, mentoring agendas, and topics, etc. Mentors are encouraged to follow the program guidelines but are welcome to share their own experiences or incorporate current events when relevant.

Our mentors are caring professionals who can listen, act as role models, provide career information, offer academic assistance, and inspiration. If you are a community partner who believes that education and student guidance are foundational to our society’s future, we encourage you to volunteer to join our program.
