Mission Statement

Description
Our signature program is Pathways to a Purpose. Pathways to a Purpose is a collaborative effort with our partners Bridge Maryland, Inc., and Black Professional Men. The vision of Pathways is to create a culture of awareness, confidence, and leadership in our black youth by providing knowledge, resources, and shining examples of success in their community. Ultimately youth will identify their value and purpose in life.
Pathways meet monthly on the first Saturday of the month primarily at First Mount Calvary Church. We provide our participants with breakfast and lunch. The program is free of charge. We cover topics related to the socio-emotional health of our mentees such as bullying, conflict resolution, and mindfulness along with our civics and leadership-driven curriculum covering topics as public speaking, fairness, and equity and how one defines the community. Our team of mentors does twice monthly check-ins with participants. We also incorporate community service into our program and field trips.
