Whether you prefer to cook or to bake, you can bring out the famous family recipes on The Longest Day. Make grandma’s cookies for the family or office - in exchange for a donation - or host a potluck dinner. Meet up with your dishes or get together to cook and share secret recipes, and celebrate the day together.
The Longest Day helps to fund local programs and services right here in Central/Western VA to families in need for free! Join the fight against Alzheimer's by responding to this post or contact Emily at emrosenberger@alz.org.

Description
The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
