SeekHealing is a Nonprofit organization that utilizes awareness and connection practices to combat the loneliness epidemic in the US, with the purpose of overcoming rampant trauma, addiction, overdose and deaths of despair.
We need a Social Media Maverick and Video Content Editor to do the following:
Take the videos we have made in the past (and will make in the future) and:
- Cut short, powerful snippets and post them on our instagram
- Separate audio and edit the audio to put onto a podcast format and organize/archive into folders
- Use available software to transcribe the content, and edit said content for our blog
- Pull interesting and powerful quotes from the transcribed content for us to utilize on our Website and in our outreach.
Skills you will need:
- Video Editing expertise
- Skills in writing and editing
- Willingness to understand the SeekHealing mission and discernment about what appropriate content to use, organize, and post.
Requirements:
- Have a short introductory zoom call about the foundations of SeekHealing
- Be willing to work closely with the Manager(s) of this project

Description
In a hyper-local, community mental health approach, SeekHealing is a grassroots "social health" project to facilitate experiences of intentional and meaningful human connection between neighbors.
Piloted successfully in Western North Carolina since 2018 with support from Dr. Gabor Mate and other leading experts in trauma and Relational Cultural Theory (RCT), regional programs deliver the following at no cost to participants:
- Equitable public health education in social communication and emotional regulation skills
- Facilitated social experiences: substance-free parties, peer-driven support meetings, and community gatherings
- Human-powered technology solutions that facilitate individual neighbors showing up for each other’s social & mental health needs
