Program Outcome Impact: The impact that the drivers have as part of Club Care operations is that they provide food to those who would be otherwise unable to receive it. This program and their participation helps bridge the gap in food security for our Club Care customers. It also provides some social interaction to customers who are at high-risk of COVID-19 and are unable to leave their homes for resources or socialization.

Position Description: Home delivery drivers assist in the delivery of USDA commodities and Choice Pantry foods to home-bound, senior, or disabled people around the Northern Kentucky area. Drivers are assigned a list of customers to deliver to, and they transport the food in their car in order to drop their items off at each customer’s home.

Responsibilities: Drivers are responsible for the delivery of each assigned customer’s food order. They are responsible for making sure the food gets to the correct location and customer

Qualifications: Drivers must be over the age of 16 with an up-to-date driver’s license.

Requirements: Drivers must have access and ability to drive a car (driver’s license required) around Northern Kentucky’s Campbell, Kenton, and Boone counties. They must also be able to lift up to/around 20 pounds of food at a time.

Credential/Training Required: No training required. Only credentials needed is a valid driver’s license.

Brighton Center, Inc. is a private not-for-profit community based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education and leadership throughout the communities of Northern Kentucky. From modest beginnings in 1966 in a Newport storefront when we were founded, Brighton Center has grown to provide a comprehensive range of programs and services including youth services, family and child development programs, community building, education and employment training programs. During the last fiscal year we served over 57,000 individuals through our programs. We are excited to have just celebrated 40 years of building friendships, hopes and dreams fulfilled!
