Responsibilities:

We are looking for a volunteer videographer skilled in shooting video content. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity Portland Region.

Our mission:
Habitat for Humanity Portland Region revitalizes neighborhoods, builds affordable and sustainable homes, and empowers individuals & families through successful homeownership. To learn more, visit habitatportlandregion.org.

Videographers are needed to film homeowner families, home dedication events, and home building volunteers in action. Your subjects may be families in our homeownership program, volunteers, construction crews, donors, or Habitat staff. We would also like to utilize videography talents in the ReStores to film volunteers and staff.

Settings will be a mixture of indoor/outdoor and different light settings.

Volunteers must have their own camera and basic knowledge of videography.

Required:

- Own your own video camera equipment.

- Ability to send video footage to us in a timely manner after events.

- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds/cultures.

- Every volunteer must complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers (emailed to you after acceptance)

Not required, but preferred:
- Own your own audio/microphone equipment

- Editing and video production experience.

Position Details

Specific tasks: Primarily helping with video editing
Length
of commitment: Ongoing, but will need to start ASAP
Estimated total hours: Flexible. We can work with your schedule to determine the number of hours.
Location: Work on the scene at build sites or in the ReStores.

Description

Habitat for Humanity Portland Region serves Multnomah County, east Washington County, and northern Clackamas County and has the ability to reach out to families one step away from homelessness. Habitat sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. We welcome people from all walks of life to partner with our program to serve families in need with generosity, humility, and love.
