The Voluntary Service office is looking for outgoing, organized individuals with general knowledge of computers, copiers and phones to assist the Specialists and Program Support Assistants in the office. Our office Volunteers would be greeting visitors to the office, copying/scanning/filing electronically, answering the phones, scheduling appointments for staff, entering data into spreadsheets and other special projects as they present themselves.
Prospective Volunteers must have good communication skills, ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and excellent customer service skills.
With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.
We have two shifts available, mornings and afternoons:
Friday mornings from 8:00am until 12:00pm
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 12:00pm until 4:00pm
- 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM
