The Maple Grove Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring creativity, fostering community, and enriching lives through art. Our vision is to become a vibrant, inclusive arts center that empowers our community by nurturing artistic passion.

Role Summary

We are seeking passionate and talented art instructors to develop and lead classes for adults and youth in a variety of mediums. Class Instructors play a key role in nurturing creativity and artistic skills within our community by providing engaging, high-quality art education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach art classes in your chosen medium(s) for adults and/or youth.
  • Create lesson plans tailored to different skill levels, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Prepare class materials and supply lists in collaboration with the arts center staff.
  • Foster a positive, creative atmosphere that encourages artistic exploration and skill development.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them grow as artists.
  • Monitor class progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to meet the needs of participants.
  • Ensure the safety and proper use of art materials and equipment during classes.
  • Collaborate with the arts center team to schedule and promote classes.

Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about art and sharing your skills with others.
  • Proficient in one or more artistic mediums (e.g., painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital art).
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, with experience leading classes or workshops preferred.
  • Creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to develop lesson plans and manage class dynamics effectively.

To become highly visible, vibrant and financially stable organization, offering quality art, education and art appreciation with extensive community participation, outreach and patron involvement.

Housing both gallery and studio space with a sought after downtown Maple Grove location, the Maple Grove Arts Center has been serving and sharing art with its community since 2009.

Several community groups utilize our space for meetings and shows. We have classes for children, seniors, beginning, intermediate and beyond!

MGAC has 6 -7 gallery shows per year. This gives our member and artist's many chances to exhibit and share their work.
