Organization: Maple Grove Arts Center Role Type: Gallery supervision and customer service Salary: Volunteer Reporting to: Volunteer Coordinator The Maple Grove Arts Center is a 501c3 nonprofit arts center. Mission: To provide fine art, musical and theatrical exploration and appreciation opportunities. Vision: To become highly visible, vibrant, financially stable organization, offering quality art, education and art appreciation with extensive community participation, outreach and patron involvement. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a three hour shift per week to facilitate the opening of our art gallery space on a regular basis. Our aim is to have the gallery space open from 11 am - 5 pm Monday through Saturday, which is dependent on volunteer availability. We will work with your schedule and may consider a commitment of two 3-hour shifts per month if that is your availability. Tasks and Responsibilities include: Opening and/or closing the art gallery space in Maple Grove Greeting visitors and making them feel welcome in our space Handling transactions for purchases of art, classes, donations Ensuring space is presentable to guests and doing general cleaning/vacuuming as needed Providing flyers about classes, memberships, etc. to guests

Job Description : Art Class Instructor Organization: Maple Grove Arts Center Role Type: Contract based classes through Maple Grove Arts Center Salary: Contract - class by class Reporting to: Education Director Class Instructors need to be self-starters, with ideas of innovative, creative, and stimulating class/course ideas. We provide higher level classes for both adults and youth. We serve the NW metro area with draw coming down also coming from St Cloud and as far south as Bloomington. We offer a competitive pay structure for our instructors. This person will report to the Education Director, who then in turn reports to the Executive Director. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Education Director to devise stimulating and creative classes in your chosen art field. Be able to execute the class without additional staff support. Initial raining will be given by the Education Director and/or staff members. Responsible for space while teaching and ensure space is fully locked up and tidied up before vacating. Essential Functions Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations. Ability to produce accurate timely invoicing for completed classes to Maple Grove Arts. Job Description l Art Fair Volunteer Organization: Maple Grove Arts Center Time: From 2 hours to whole weekend as desired Salary: Volunteer Reporting to: Art Fair Director The Maple Grove Arts Center is a 501c3 nonprofit arts center. Their mission is: To provide fine art, musical and theatrical exploration and appreciation opportunities. The arts center’s vision: To become highly visible, vibrant, financially stable organization, offering quality art, education and art appreciation with extensive community participation, outreach and patron involvement. We are looking for volunteers who can give a minimum of 2 hours to as much as they feel able, over the weekend of July 13th & 14th, 2024. We are presenting our annual art fair at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes and need volunteers to help that happen. It is an outdoor venue and we will be following COVID restrictions as they apply to our event at that time. We will need you to sign a disclaimer. It’s a fun event during the summer and you will be able to chat to artists and see their work firsthand. Tasks and Responsibilities include: Booth sitting - you do not have the responsibility to sell items, just watch over them whilst the artist takes a much-needed break. You are not responsible for loss or damage. Walking around handing out water, COVID supplies as required to artists. Directing the public and answering basic questions or directing them to someone else that can help. Assisting artists, if needed with booth set-up or take down, if you pick the first shift on Saturday or the last one on the Sunday. Housing both gallery and studio space with a sought after downtown Maple Grove location, the Maple Grove Arts Center has been serving and sharing art with its community since 2009.
Several community groups utilize our space for meetings and shows. We have classes for children, seniors, beginning, intermediate and beyond!
MGAC has 6 -7 gallery shows per year. This gives our member and artist's many chances to exhibit and share their work.
