National Events Coordinator
Stella’s Girls Inc is looking for a talented and highly motivated National Events Coordinator to organize outstanding events. You will be responsible for planning every aspect of the event in coordination and guidance with the board.
You should be well- organized and possess a sound knowledge of event planning and management. You should have great communication skills and a keen eye for details. You will be an individual who aligns with our organization's beliefs and values.
The National Event Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, implementation, and oversight of designated Stella’s Girls, Inc events, and programs. The Event Coordinator will be in charge of planning events around National Campaign Advocacy Days.
Duties and responsibilities
- Incharge of planning events around National Campaign Advocacy Days
- Understand requirements for each event
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book venues and schedule speakers
- Research and negotiate with vendors
- Hire personnel
- Manage and plan all event operations
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
Requirements
- Resident of Maryland
- Proven experience as an event coordinator
- A proven track record of organizing successful events
- Proficient in MS office
- Excellent Vendor management skills
- Knowledge in basic recruitment practices
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Well- organized with multi-tasking skills
- Able to handle stressful situations
- Problem-solving ability

Stella's Girls' mission is to educate and empower girls and women to become leaders, social change agents, and advocates in their community.
Description
Stella's Girls was founded in 2016 to answer the call of a lack of education opportunities and resources for girls in Maryland, Japan, and Liberia. Since our beginning, we have served over 500 girls and women through our mentorship program, coding programs, personal development, advocacy training, and hygiene training. We also have representation in Nigeria, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and Ivory Coast.
We educate girls through our personal development workshops, professional training, youth conferences, and coding program.
We empower girls through our advocacy training and opportunities to represent us at seminars and conferences.
We help girls become leaders by offering leadership training and connecting them to mentors in their fields.
Our goal is to help increase the number of female leaders by 2050. We also support thee 2030 United Nations 2030 Sustainable Goals.
