Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project is a non-profit legal organization dedicated to serving the most vulnerable immigrants in Los Angeles. Esperanza provides Direct Representation and Community Education to indigent immigrants in deportation proceedings.

Esperanza's Released Youth Program, which provides unaccompanied minors and their custodians, with thousands of free legal services and social service referrals a year, is organizing a Welcome Day event with the LA Mayor’s Office and the County. It will take place on September 18th. It is going to be a big event and we need help to pull it off!

Requirements:
We are looking for an eager and very passionate volunteer. Someone that has event planning experience. We would like this person to commit to 8-12 hours a week. Preferable 4 hours on Friday’s afternoons.

Planning work can be done remotely, attendance at the event on September 18th is preferred. Venue still TBD, but will be somewhere in the LA area.

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., serves espercially vulnerale immigrants fighting against removal from the United States. Esperanza mostly provides legal services to children who are fighting against removal, however Esperanza also has clients in federal immigration detention centers. Esperanza provides direct representation, pro bono placement and pro se legal education.
