ORGANIZATION: Pathways of Hope

Would you like to help set up the food bank by organizing shelf stable food and prepare bags of food for Cypress College students?

The is a one time event on Tuesday, Jan 11th from 11am-2pm. Sign Up in Honor of #MLK

Tasks include unloading pallets of food into the new space, making bags of food.

Volunteers need to be vaccinated for COVID-19, over the age of 18, able to lift 20 lbs, and wear a mask.

COVID has impacted the ability of many Orange County residents to acquire food. Pathways of Hope is a nonprofit organization that serves families and individuals throughout North Orange County. For 46 years Pathways of Hope has been providing food, shelter and support and prevention services to the hungry, homeless and marginalized through assistance of local congregations, volunteers, businesses and grants from foundations and government agencies.

The Pathways of Hope HUB of Hope offers emergency food and hygiene items to homeless and low-income families and individuals as well as a walk-up center for individuals and families seeking housing assistance.

To provide access to food, shelter, and life skills training to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in North Orange County.

Description

Pathways of Hope is committed to rebuilding lives of the hungry and homeless in Orange County through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Engagement. Once a family or individual has become homeless, the path back to stability can be very challenging. Pathways of Hope offers several housing options to fit different situations, all with the goal of helping families and individuals re-gain permanent housing as quickly as possible. Pathways of Hope operates a resource center, the HUB of Hope, which offers emergency food and hygiene items to homeless and low-income families and individuals in Orange County.   • We provide the training onsite the first day of your shift.
