Volunteer will help with clerical duties, answer phones and run errands for staff around the hospital. They will work along side social workers to observe in patient rooms. Also seeking a volunteer on Wednesday's to assist with servicing patients along with the owner and service dog. This will require a person interested in the social work aspect of care management.

Volunteers at Baton Rouge General are committed to supporting patients and families through compassionate service and care. Our volunteers are an essential part of our Community of Caring, impacting so many of the General's patients, visitors, friends, doctors, nurses and staff. They provide the little extras that help to create that special experience people have come to know and love at the General.
Description
We are a not for profit hospital which is community owned. Our volunteers have an Auxiliary which returns all profits from fundraisers and the gift shops to the hospital at year-end to purchase medical equipment, security equipment, and interior updates.
