Solace Hospice is seeking Volunteers in the West Valley to make a difference in the lives of our patients by their friendly visits. This is an opportunity for anyone in the Surprise, Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria, or the Phoenix area.
Our patients are comforted by our volunteers presence alone. It doesn't take much to impact their lives and they are thrilled just by knowing someone truly cares.
Volunteers are friendly visitors who offer socialization and companionship by visiting with a patient. Volunteers can talk, read, watch TV or movies, listen to music, play cards or games, do crossword puzzles or word search with their patient. They can also just chat about current events or reminisce about days gone by.
Volunteers bring a special type of comfort to our seniors by coming in with no agenda other than being a friendly presence and offering friendship and conversation.
