The overall purpose of this role is to help grow institutional clients for La Romita School of Art (LRSA). These types of clients might include university graduate or undergraduate art programs, extension programs, and continuing education. The position requires identifying potential institutions, making initial contact, and coordinating with the LRSA Executive Director.
Specific Tasks:
Research and become familiar with LRSA’s facilities, offerings, and Identify universities and colleges that might offer programs to their students at La Romita and qualify other educational institutions for further analysis.
- Research specific institutions to discover the appropriate point of contact.
- Explore the potential market for LRSA with extension and continuing education programs.
- Create relationships through networking, cold calls, and emails.
- Research the general environment including existing players and dominant subjects offered by U.S. colleges in Italy. .
- Create a database which evaluates institutions as they relate to La Romita’s offerings.
- Coordinate with the LRSA Executive Director.
Skills required:
- Interest in or studies of Arts Administration.
- Ability to conduct independent online research.
- Comfort in cold calling school representatives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of how educational institutions make program decisions is desirable.
Setting: Work from anywhere
Schedule and Time commitment: negotiable
Training: Provided by Executive Director
Supervision: Volunteer will report to the Executive Director.

La Romita School of Art was founded in 1966 and incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 educational organization in 1983. Over the past 54 years, La Romita has hosted hundreds of art workshops for professional artists, students of the arts, cooking aficionados, photographers, and writers from the United States and around the world in the province of Umbria, in Central Italy.
