Volunteers are essential to MDA’s mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. While much of our volunteer opportunities have shifted to a more virtual setting, we are looking for a group of committed volunteers to assist with calling fire departments to get a commitment to fundraise for MDA in 2021. There are several options including virtual Fill the Boot, traditional Fill the Boot, and special events.
This volunteer opportunity will be done virtually from your home. Responsibilities include contacting fire departments by phone to provide information and to strengthen our partnership to enhance their fundraising efforts.
By signing up, you will be contacted once a volunteer opportunity becomes available and you’ll be asked to attend a training. Following successful completion of the training, you'll work hand in hand with an MDA staff partner or another volunteer leader to ensure your volunteer experience is a rewarding one, while helping to fuel MDA’s mission.
Timing: This volunteer opportunity begins in May, with training beginning in April. If wish to get started early, please email us at volunteerprogram@mdausa.org.
