We are The Animal Cause, a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization primarily focused on saving shelter animals from being euthanized as well as working on the root causes for the shelter population.
We are a multi-divisional, multi-program organization; having many ambitious projects and goals for 2021.
We are in dire need of virtual volunteers of all types!
This posting is for Volunteer Administrative Assistants to help manage daily tasks, communication and operations!
We are offering flexible schedule, part time or full time openings to those interested in helping us help animals.
This opportunity exposes you to being mentored for career development, nonprofit management and more!
We are looking for someone who's interested in volunteering on a long term basis. We need mature, flexible individuals who can anticipate what needs to be done and take the initiative to do it.
No need for idea generation. Everything is blueprinted already. No need to share networks or friends to the organization. We need you!
Proven ability to ask critical, insightful questions and probe for information to facilitate problem solving.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Duties include:

• Minimum of 1-year administrative experience is preferred

• Managing and distributing information to volunteer staff

• Excellent organizational skills
• Must have basic math skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to navigate and operate Google Suite operating systems
• Demonstrate above average user experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint to develop presentations
• Must be a problem solver
• Excellent customer service
• Conduct research as needed
• Conduct multiple types of correspondence
• Data Entry
• Multi-tasker with excellent communication skills
• Setting appointments, experienced with Zoom, and managing emails.

Candidates must enjoy working solo and with a team; must maintain professionalism at all times, as well as possess a strong work ethic, and good attention to detail. Structure and organize activities and workload of leader(s) to facilitate efficient operations. Prioritize schedules, maintain calendars and develop a system of follow-up for projects, meetings and issues. Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience. Have an upbeat attitude.
