Relationship Management Group Manager, Relationship Management Group (Volunteer )

Translation Commons is looking for a creative and motivated leader to take up the volunteer position of Relationship Management Group Manager. Each group has two managers working in conjunction with each other to establish and manage a team of volunteers to fulfill the functions of the Relationship Management Group. This is a great opportunity for you to contribute to an international volunteer organization and to share your expertise.

The Relationship Management Group is responsible for fulfilling the account handling of Translation Commons’ partners that seek language services provided by Translation Commons.

Through this position, you will learn the inner workings of the account management department of a non-profit organization focused on languages. This role will help you pursue careers in account management and customer relationship management.

This is a volunteer and remote opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the group advisor to develop and improve frameworks and communication channels for the different processes within the Relationship Management Group;
  • Creating roles that need to be filled within the Relationship Management Group and interviewing volunteers to fill these roles;
  • Managing and motivating the Relationship Management Group to ensure that progress is being made;
  • Delegating tasks to Relationship Management Group volunteers to ensure the functioning of the group;
  • Making final decisions related to the Relationship Management Group;
  • Being the central point of contact for all Relationship Management needs;
  • Acting as owners on the Group’s G-Suite and adding members and access rights;
  • Being ultimately responsible for the deliverables produced by the group.

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers;
  • Experience in account management;
  • Visionary outlook of the group’s contribution to TC’s mission;
  • A "go-getter" attitude and the ability to take initiative to develop new goals for the Relationship Management Group ;
  • Ability to identify problems and to use creativity and initiative to solve them;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead meetings;
  • Weekly commitment of at least 5 hours per week.

Their passion for language and their expertise in technology are the cornerstones of all our initiatives. Our activities are centered around career paths that volunteers can engage, experience and practice.
Our platform offers over 40 free language related tools. Our courses and resources include a variety of language topics, all created by our volunteers.
Our Covid-19 poster-maker is translated in over 350 languages and for the majority of these communities, our poster is the only Covid-19 information available in their language. Our volunteers also offer their help to other organizations responding to the Covid-19 crisis.
