Monitor existing systems & infrastructure to track their availability, speed, backup
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
Troubleshoot problems and perform root cause analysis (RCA) on the same
Ensure constant availability of technical resources
Prioritize mission critical tasks
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide different levels of support - L1, L2, L3
Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
Experience working in problem management and incident management environment, using ITIL standards
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related field required
Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting software & environments.
Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks ( e.g., Tomcat , JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
Knowledge about AWS & Azure cloud platforms
Knowledge on virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Experience with monitoring systems & automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
Basic scripting skills
