Our Mission: To strengthen the Excelsior community by distributing food to families in need. Our Core Values: * Fostering a collaborative, inviting atmosphere where all volunteers/community members can meet to enjoy snacks and conversation while selecting free groceries. * Promoting the importance of service, creative generosity, sincere respect and care for our neighbors, and the interconnectedness of all people. * We believe in the power of faith, hope, and love to bring people together in acts of kindness.
The Excelsior Community Food Pantry is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please check back in the future for our reopen date.
The Excelsior Community Food Pantry is a partnership of Jewish Home San Francisco and Mission Bay Community Church, in collaboration with the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank and the Excelsior community.
We distribute free groceries to Excelsior neighborhood families every Saturday, rain or shine. The timeframe for set-up, food distribution, and clean-up is 10 AM - 1 PM. Please join us any Saturday in the parking lot at Jewish Home San Francisco. You may enter through the driveway on Mission Street (between Avalon and Silver). If you drive, please park on the street as there is not enough parking in the Jewish Home lots to accomodate our volunteers.
We'll work with your schedule.
