Mission Statement

Our Mission: To strengthen the Excelsior community by distributing food to families in need. Our Core Values: * Fostering a collaborative, inviting atmosphere where all volunteers/community members can meet to enjoy snacks and conversation while selecting free groceries. * Promoting the importance of service, creative generosity, sincere respect and care for our neighbors, and the interconnectedness of all people. * We believe in the power of faith, hope, and love to bring people together in acts of kindness.

Description

The Excelsior Community Food Pantry is a partnership of the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (AKA Jewish Home San Francisco) and Mission Bay Community Church, in collaboration with the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank and the Excelsior community.

We distribute free groceries to Excelsior neighborhood families every Saturday, rain or shine. The timeframe for set-up, food distribution, and clean-up is 10 AM - 1 PM. Please join us any Saturday in the parking lot at Jewish Home San Francisco. Advance sign-ups are not required unless you are bringing a group of 7 or more people. If you drive, please park on the street as there is not enough parking in the Jewish Home lots to accommodate our volunteers. If you have any questions and/or want to schedule a date for a group, please feel free to email us at foodpantry@missionbaycc.org.
